Toss and Catch (News and Notes)

Prior, Wood get work

Mark Prior and Kerry Wood both threw a couple of innings in a simulated game Monday, and so far the only torn arm is Dusty's. Dusty tearing his shoulder is sooooo 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife...a definite karmic bounce-back (even though no Cub pitcher has had an arm injury to date, I am required to bitch about Dusty by the CBA CBA).

In other news, there is no news. Apparently the closers jobs is still wide open. Personally, my money is riding on JoBo taking the job, as he is the kewlest. Um, and Dempster could be the fifth starter. Geez, let's start playing games already. I'm dying for some real baseball news.

Finally, the Veteran's Committee will be voting on Wednesday on whether or not Santo finally gets the recognition he deserves. I'm sure everyone will be rooting for Ronnie to get in. Frankly, you would have to be a communist to not be rooting for ol' Ronnie.

Sadly, there was no volleyball victory last night for your fearless blogger. We played valiently, but in the end the fact that we only had four players up against there six proved to be too much. We'll get you next time Over Net, next time (Said is Dr. Claw voice while shaking fist in fury).

Comments:
I'm hoping that Borowski makes a comeback. He loves the job. He was good at it and his arm is apparently repaired now.

OR, how about Borowski as a starter and put Wood in the bullpen? But, that's just me probably!

Um, yeah...that's definitely just you.

Wood did pilates this offseason. pilatees! I'm telling you, he's going to rock this year.
