R.I.P. Missy

Comments:
Sorry for your loss. Missy looks like she was a nice cat. When you get close to a dog or a cat and they pass on, it can be tough. We've had a few over the years that we've missed dearly. Mostly dogs, but also three cats.

The dog I have now, Peanut, has got to be close to seven, so she's past middle aged. She's a small dog (40lbs) so she's probably got at least another five years on her. It's going to be very difficult when her time is up.

God bless and take care. Trsut in Him and He will get you through.

Thanks for the nice words. It was a pretty rough day and it was a bit sudden. I mean, we knew she was dying (kidney failure) but then she just fell off a cliff. I think he kidneys totally failed and suddenly we had to get her to the vet as soon as possible as she couldn't walk and smelled like a zoo.

It was really hard on my wife as Missy was her cat for 15 years. For me, I just really, really hate ending anything's life (and, of course, she was a great cat). We only get one life and I hate to be the source of that life ending under any circumstance.

Take comfort in knowing you did the right thing. It is never easy to have them put down, but it's far better than watching them linger. Dog's and cats - as well as horses are special though.

Chickens, turkeys, pigs, sheep ect... It's no trouble at all. Usually you're butchering them for food anyway and the meat is wonderful. But that's how God made some animals different than others. Some are more inteligent and emotional, and others taste good! Nature's a funny thing that way.
